Introduction:
Students apply to and register with both the University of London and Commonwealth Law College College. Tuition is taken at Commonwealth Law College and examinations at the University of London.

Entry Requirements:
All applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
1. Be at least 17 years of age at the time of registration
2. EITHER passes in two subjects at GCE 'A' level and passes at grade C or above in three further subjects at GCSE or GCE 'O' level
3. Demonstrate a level of competence in Mathematics at least equivalent to a pass at GCSE/GCE 'O' level, at not less than grade C
4. Have passed GCSE/GCE 'O' level English language at Grade C or above or, within the last five years, to have passed at the required standard a test of proficiency in English that is recognised by the University of London.
Assessment:
Each unit is assessed by unseen written examination and coursework . A project must also be taken to complete the BSc degree. Further details are given in the University syllabuses.
Structure & Syllabus:
12 units (4 Foundation units, 4 Advanced units,
4 Specialist units including a dissertation)
Level 1:
Four compulsory full units:
Mathematics for computing
Information systems: foundations of e-business
Introduction to computing and the internet
Introduction to Java and object-oriented programming
Level 2:
Four compulsory full units:
Data communications and enterprise networking
Programming: advanced topics and techniques
Database systems
Software engineering and development
Level 3:
Six half units chosen from the following:
Artificial intelligence
Neural networks
Software engineering management
Human computer interaction
Accounting information systems
Mathematical techniques of operational research
Information systems management
Decision support and executive information systems
Electronic commerce
A compulsory Project (full unit)
