Degree Foundation Course
Recognised for entry to several UK universities as an alternative to A-levels. The course is arranged in such a way that students are able to choose from a wide range of subject areas for university study.
This is a nine-month course starting in October or January. Its result is based on marks obtained in coursework as well as examinations. Students take four subjects, two of which are compulsory and two are optional from the list below
· Accountancy * Economics
· Law * Business Studies
· Computing * Mathematics
Communication skills, Introduction to Maths and IT are compulsory subjects.
Entry Requirements
High School leaving certificate including Maths and English (or equivalent), or over 18 years as a mature student. It may be necessary to demonstrate a sufficient standard in English before joining the college.
GCSE(1 Year)
The GCSE courses aim to provide students with a deep awareness and understanding of their subject and place a great emphasis on coursework and continuous assessment. In some subjects there is also an oral examination. It is hoped that successful students will be better equipped to meet future challenges whether they be academic or professional.
GCSE courses start in September and prepare students for the June examinations of the following year.

Overseas students are reminded of need to have a selection of subjects in order to cover Home Office 15 hours Rule.

The aim of these intensive courses is to provide students with a firm foundation in Business Studies. It is suitable for those individual student who wish to gain a sound understanding of business and industry in a relatively short period of time in order to enter employment or for students who require an introductory course in preparation for higher level courses such as the BTEC HND in Business, CIM Diploma or University degree.

Age 18 or over with two ‘A’ Levels or equivalents. Or suitable for those students who have completed their secondary education. Mature students without that formal background are also encouraged to consider this exciting development opportunity.

Case Studies
To demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the marketing planning process and to develop a creative an innovative marketing plan.
1. Critically evaluate case studies using a wide variety of marketing techniques, concepts and models and an understanding of contemporary marketing issues.
2. Understand and apply competitive positioning strategies within a given case study.
CIM - Marketing
THE QUALIFICATION IS VALUABLE AS RECOGNITION IN MARKETING SKILLS AT VARIOUS LEVELS. IT MAY ALSO BE USED FOR UNIVERSITY ENTRY TOWARDS MBA, MA or MSc.

The examinations are divided into 3 stages:
1 and 2 ( The Certificate and Advanced Certificate) contain the standard business subjects emphasising their role in and relevance to the concept of marketing.
The Diploma concentrates on the application of marketing skills and knowledge to corporate objectives.

Students cannot attempt Advanced Certificate subjects until they have passed at least two subjects from the Certificate similarly the Diploma subjects until they have at least two subjects from the Advanced Certificate.

The Examinations for all parts are held twice a year and courses start in –
1. January/February preparing for June examinations
2. July/August preparing for December examinations.
Students should take 4 subjects at each course/examination sitting

In itself, this is a globally recognised qualification offering the skills needed in employment or running one’s own business. It is recognised by several other professional bodies for obtaining exemptions from their examinations (CIMA, ACCA, CAT, CIB).
The ABE Diploma or Advanced Diploma is recognised by many universities for entry to their courses at year 2 or 3.
This is a cost effective and speedier option towards obtaining a degree.

Each of the above can be taken on an intensive basis in 3/5 months, starting in January or July/September for June or December examinations. They may also be taken on an 8 month basis starting October. The Certificate stage is offered on a 5 month basis.
