Payments by Cheques/Drafts
Please note that
a) a minimum of eight clear working days has to be allowed for clearance of cheques drawn on UK banks and of 28 days in the case of foreign drafts.
b) a fee of £30 will be debited to the student’s account if a cheque or a local draft is not honoured. The fee is £100 in the case of foreign drafts.
Tuition Fees
- Full fees must be paid in advance. Alternatively, fees may be paid in TWO instalments subject to approval from the College and provided:
- The course duration is at least one year
- A surcharge of 10% on full fee is paid with the first instalment which is a minimum of two-thirds (66%) of the full fee, and that the first instalment is paid two weeks before the commencement of the course
- The second instalment is paid two weeks before the commencement of the 2nd term
- An instalment agreement form is signed
- The College may suspend students without notice if their fees are in arrears.
- Students not completing their studies for any reason will not be eligible for a refund whatsoever, discount or credit and will be charged the outstanding fees even if they stop attending the courses for whatever reason.
- The student is responsible for ensuring that (s)he has understood the costs involved in taking their selected course.
- After the course commencement, no amendment can be made to the tuition fee stated on the Letter of Acceptance/Enrolment.
- No course changes/deferments can be authorised after overseas students have been granted a visa. Any variation to their student status will be notified to the Immigration authorities in the UK (Home Office) and the visa issuing authority promptly.
- No Tuition fees will be refunded in any cases if any examining body does not
accept the student on the course because of less qualification or experience and
student has been granted visa on CLC, London.
- Tuition fees cost will be deducted from the fees paid for the period
taught (classes attended and the enrolment time ) if the examining body does not
accept the student on the course but student has not been granted visa on CLC,
London.
- After the commencement of the course, if a student does not report at the College or fails to inform the College of their visa application status, the College reserves the right to report to the visa issuing authorities (Home Office) as the student no longer having a place on the course, without first informing the student.
- Tuition fees do not include any other fees such as course registration, examinations, professional memberships, books and stationery.
- Enrolment on the course creates a binding agreement to follow the College Regulations, course structure and to pay the full fee.
Remitting Fees
For the payment of Pound Sterling only-
Commonwealth Law College Ltd,
You may remit the Tuition fee by one of the following methods:
a) Banker’s draft or cheque made payable to “The Commonwealth Law College Limited” and posted to the College’s address (London) using a reliable postal service.
b) Direct transfer to the College bank account, details of which can be ask at or from College.
Tuition Fee Refund Procedure
a) Fees are not refundable if, after the commencement of the course, the student stops attending or leaves the course before its completion or is suspended by the College owing to non-attendance, misconduct etc.
b) Home students or students not requiring a student visa to enter or remain within the UK may claim a refund of the course fee paid (less administrative charge of £100.00) provided a written notice of cancellation is received by the College at least one month before the commencement of the course. If the notice is not received in time, one term’s fee will be deducted before a refund is made.
c) In case of students not requiring a student visa on the student’s request and recommendation by the Course Tutor, the fees may be deferred to the course commencing at a later date.
d) Students requiring a student visa to enter or remain in the UK may claim a refund of the tuition fee paid (less administrative charge of £100.00) only if their visa application has been refused and the College informed of this as soon as possible and prior to the commencement of the course. The fee will be refunded within six to ten weeks of the College being notified
and if the required documents have been sent. Refund of the fees may take
longer subject to refund cases and student will be informed accordingly..
The application for a refund must be accompanied by the original refusal letter from the British Embassy (APP200), copies of all the pages of the passport and the original documents of admission issued by the College. If the College is informed of the refusal after the commencement of the course, one term’s fee is deducted. After the commencement of any term, the tuition fee for that term is not refundable and visa refusal during the term entitles the student to a refund of the fees for subsequent terms only.
e) Full fees are refunded if for any reason the course is not conducted by the College.
f) between 2 to 10 weeks is needed for the processing of refunds but
sometime it may take more than 10 weeks to process the refund, student will be
notified accordingly.
g) No interest is paid on any refund payments.
h) No refunds are due where students have postponed the commencement of their course in the UK.
i) All refunds are made subject to the prior approval of the Executive Board.
j) The College reserves the right to withdraw an advertised course without prior notice to students for which insufficient numbers of students enrol and to close any class if low numbers attending make it no longer viable.
k) In the event of an LEA, employer, or other body not paying such fees the student will remain personally liable for them. Students whose fees remain unpaid may be denied access to the College facilities, and the College reserves the right to withhold examination results, until payment is made.
l) Student who are going through the appeal process will not be eligible
for their tuition fees refund until they withdraw the appeal and give the
college the written information from the UK VISAS office.
Maintenance Refunds
Maintenance payments may be remitted to the credit of the College bank account. If full annual maintenance is received by the College, refund will be made in 3 equal instalments, each of the instalments being released during the first week of the each academic term.
Accommodation fees/cost paid for less than 6 weeks will not be refunded
as it is paid to Estate agent to confirm the accommodation. Any accommodation
fees paid for more 6 weeks will be refunded less 250 GBP as administration
charges of the Estate agent.
