The Diploma in Hotel
Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the
operational aspects of the international hotel industry, and a knowledge of the
underlying principles involved. This programme has been devised on the basis
that students will attend a course of study of not less than 450 hours. Private
study will be required over and above this figure. Each of the modules has a 2
and a half hour examination, set and marked by CTHCM.

The Advanced Diploma
in Hotel Management aims to provide an understanding of the managerial, decision
making and leadership aspects of the international hotel industry and to develop
independent research and study skills which will be required when working at
senior managerial level in the industry. The scheme has been devised on the
basis that students will attend a course of study of not less than 450 contact
hours. Private study will be required over and above this figure. Each of the
modules has a 3 hour examination, set and marked by CTHCM.

Diploma
in Travel Agency Management
The Diploma in
Travel Agency Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of
the operational aspects of travel agency management and airline ticketing, along
with an understanding of the tourism industry. This Diploma incorporates three
modules from our IATA approved Fares and Ticketing courses. This programme has
been devised on the basis that students will attend a course of study of not
less than 450 hours. Private study will be required over and above this figure.

Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism (PGDipTour)
The Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism course has been introduced at CLC in
September 2005. This course is designed for students who have Bachelor's degree
and some experience in the industry. Student over 21 years of age with other
qualification can be accepted only by assessment done on individual basis.
This course of study comprises
lectures, seminars, e learning, field and practical work. The PGDip enables
students to further specialise in Tourism.
The Diploma aims to provide an
advanced level of understanding of different fields at a graduate level,

CTHCM- Validation
and Promotion
The CTHCM Diploma
and Advanced Diploma programmes are recognised by a number of British
universities, notably Bournemouth and Thames Valley Universities as providing
appropriate academic preparation for students to apply for direct entry onto
their third year degree programmes in hospitality and tourism. Under the UK
Qualifications and Curriculum Authority credit framework each Diploma module
represents 10 credits and each Advanced Diploma module represents 20 credits.
